Annotation - 'The Drover's Wife'
Below are two vodcasts which focus on particular parts of 'The Drover's Wife'. You need to view them both and make annotations on your copy of the story. This will help you understand the link between how Lawson uses language and language techniques in order to allow us to visualise the Australian bush and its people, as they existed in his time.
Remember that the whole purpose of vodcasts is for you to be able to access learning material prior to our lesson so we can use class time to work on our essay writing. These work like any video - you can review or pause at any time. I hope you find them helpful!

ACTIVITY: After completing your annotation, revisit 'The Drover's Wife'. Choose 1-2 important quotations from the story to add to our class Padlet. These will form a basis for us as we move towards our essay writing and making connections between all of the stories. You can also open this Padlet in a new window by clicking here.
